An FBI agent who accused the Office of Political Prejudices during the first administration of President Donald Trump was arrested Monday in New York for positions related to the alleged unauthorized dissemination of confidential information, according to judicial documents presented on Tuesday.
Johnathan Buma, a 15 -year -old veteran from the office, allegedly shared text messages, internal documents and other information classified with associates, even as part of a possible book that began writing about his career as an agent of the FBI.
As of October 2023, Buma “printed approximately 130 files of the FBI internal network … some of which were clearly marked with warnings that made it clear that the information should be protected,” according to loading documents.
“Buma also printed nine text file documents containing text that had been copied and glued from reports that were marked in such a way that they made it clear that the information must be protected,” according to loading documents.
In the following weeks, Buma supposedly shared a draft of a book he had written about his career at the FBI with “associates” by email. The draft allegedly included details about “FBI investigations in the massive destruction program of massive weapons of a foreign country (‘WMDS’)”, alleges the accusation document.
While Buma research seems to have begun during the Biden administration, with several media that report on an FBI raid at home at the end of 2023, Buma has been a Vocal critic How Trump’s first administration handled the classified information that Trump’s former personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani was the objective of a Russian influence operation.

Federal agents arrested Buma on Monday when he was about to address a outgoing international flight, according to the documents. He appeared in the Federal Court of Brooklyn for a preliminary hearing on Tuesday and was released from detention.
He has not submitted a plea and his lawyer did not immediately respond to a request for comments from ABC News.
The charges were presented in the Central District of California.
Buma’s former lawyer denied having acted badly when the raid was reported at Buma’s house at the end of 2023.
